Asking questions

Write questions that get strong answers, attach sources and pick the right depth.

Write a good question

Specific questions get checkable answers.

  • Say what you want to decide, not only the topic.
  • Name the document or clause when you know it ("section 4.2 of the services agreement").
  • Ask one thing at a time; split a long list into separate questions.
  • Say the form you need: a yes/no with reasons, a comparison, a review with feedback.

Tip: The examples under Try an example on the question page show good phrasing for reviews, contracts and fact-checks.

Choose a depth

How careful the council should be, and what it costs.

DepthWhat happens
Smart · 3 or 10 creditsTwo models answer first; if they disagree the full council takes over. 3 credits if the fast path answers, 10 if not.
Quick check · 3 creditsTwo models from different companies answer and their points are compared. About 30 seconds.
Standard · 10 creditsSeveral models answer on their own, check each other's points against your sources, and an editor writes the answer. 2–5 minutes.
Thorough · 25 creditsMore models, more checks per point, more rounds and a dedicated checker on every statement. 5–15 minutes. Pro and Pro Max.
Full report · 25 creditsEach model writes a full report; the best parts are merged and every statement is fact-checked. 8–25 minutes. Pro and Pro Max.

Note: Long documents in full can cost more: above the plan's block of document tokens the credits are multiplied. The estimate is shown before you ask.

Watch the council work

Live steps while your question runs.

While a question runs you see its steps and each model call as it starts and finishes. Model names are shown as letters (Model A, B, …) so you judge answers, not brands; owners, reviewers and auditors can see the real names in the full details.

You can leave the page. The question keeps running and appears in History when it is done.
